My Swedish Mother still wears her Swedish woodshoes in the house, constantly. They are very comfortable. I outgrew mine years ago, otherwise I might still be wearing them!
They were quite popular years ago. I never owned a pair, I didn’t care for the style myself. (Just not me!) The popularity didn’t last too long though. I wouldn’t think it could be very comfortable walking around with wood under my feet.
But then again, the swedish have worn them for years I think, so they obviously know something I don’t…lol
I had big wedge shoes in the 70’s with wooden bottoms. Wouldn’t wear them now though. Too uncomfortible.

They still wear them in Holland, I saw them all over there and they were and are still for sale there.
