I’m going to Sweden this coming weekend, does anyone know of any typically Swedish gifts that will last?

I mean, not just like Swedish chocolate. Although it’d be nice, I like to get things that will last!

  1. Willeke says:

When I was in Sweden, each town seemed to have a souvenir shop as well as a craft shop, (in smaller town they are often combined.)
Walk into one of them and see what you like.
I think Sweden is good in woodwork, traditional fabrics and knit-work, but it is a while since I last was there.

(Before you go, go to your local IKEA to see what they sell, so you do not bring the same kind of thing for much more money.)

Best to match the gift to the person, and better bring less gifts but more quality, buy picture postcards for those people who are not really close if you want to bring something for them.

Orrefors and Kosta Boda crystal, Dala horses, Swedish Christmas gear.
