Massage after spinal fusion?

I want to get my mother and mother in law massages for valentines day and birthday gifts and I’m not sure if they can have them because they both have had spinal fusions in the past. I just don’t want to pay the money and then have them say it’s nice but I can’t get a massage. So my question is can they have swedish massages after spinal fusions?

I have had two spinal fushions and I had a massage a few months ago and it was wonderful. Just make sure that the ladies tell the gal or guy that is giving the massages that they have had this procedure done. Most of the people that give massages are very aware of different medical procedures and know how to work around them. I am sure that they will both fell wonderful after they get done. Very nice presents for Valentines Day.

call the massuse you were thinking of and explain the condition they have and ask if it will be safe

just mention it prior to massage.

I’ve had 2 fusion operations on my neck. Just make sure that the massage knows about their condition.

That is a very sweet thing to do for them. I wish I had a daughter-in-law like you so I could get treated so good.

Most definitely. I am a licensed massage therapist and I have given several people with spinal fusions massages. Swedish massages is perfect, because it will not be too rough on them. It is more for relaxation.
