This is really good. You sound a bit like our famous actor Mikael Persbrandt but with an accent :P But you do have an accent. I’ve heard there are tests that have shown that if you try to learn Swedish after the age of seven there are some words you can’t learn to pronounce properly.

You sound like an English person speaking Swedish. Sadly you will have a tough as hell time sounding even remotely “less foreign”. My experience has revealed to me that Swedes only understand people who sound EXACTLY like themselves. Foreign accent = not knowing a language = an opportunity to use their often inferior English. Try to sound Russian or something… It’s the only way.

Swedish is one of the easiest languages for you to learn as a native speaker of English.

yes yes! you got it. the swedish nationalist in me is the biggest narcissist of all. it’s really like that movie “Good Bye Lenin!” where the main character realizes that the DDR that he portrays to his mother is the way he wished it was and the way it should be.

I think Sweden has a long way to go in many areas, but it’s easy to get high on sweden when you compare it to other countries.

  19. kennymertzi says:

true dat ! , but not entierly true though , swedes are narcisissistic when it comes to comparing themselves to other ppl from other countrys than sweden.

  20. Deathtof7 says:

Thanks everyone for the compliments, I do appreciate them. Swedish isn’t the easiest language in the world…I should keep working on the language though…Otherwise I might forget some.
